CILT launches discussion boards

May 3rd, 2007 | By: Martin Arrand

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport have just launched a collection of discussion boards on their website.

My own work in setting up a discussion board on this site for CILT’s Humanitarian and Emergencies Logistics Professionals (HELP) Forum went some way to prompting the Institute to set up the boards. It looks like they have done a very good job.

In order to participate you have to be a CILT member – but any grade of membership will do. If you just want to become an Associate (which gives you full member benefits) you needn’t demonstrate any particular professional experience or qualifications.

As a result I will be decommissioning the HELP board hosted at Supply Chain View.

Hello,

Have they replaced their original forums as there were a number established for the various sector groups previously?

Hi Jeff,

It looks like they have organised the discussion boards according to the Faculty and Forum structure of the Institute. I’ve not had the time to look more closely and see if their are any announcements about previous forums. As I said, I will decommission the Humanitarian board on my site when I get back from my hols.
